Pigeon Panic is yet another freeby from L-Works. In this game downtown New york has a problem. It's not the trafic, It's the infestation of pigeons. No matter where you go, there's pigeons on park benches, on buildings, on statues, and even on your car. So, you decide to take matters in to your own hands. What to do? Well... like any other New Yorker, you of course have got a shotgun (?) for in times of need.
The gameplay is very simple. You will hear a voice saying "ready, set, go!" after which the fun starts. A pigeon will fly from the left to the right. When it is in the center of your speakers or headphones, press the space bar to shoot it. The closer a pigeon is to the center of your field of hearing when you shoot it, will give you more points. You can either earn 1, 2, or 5 points. The maximum number of points you can earn per group of ten pigeons is 50 points. The game gives you the ability to post your score.
For every ten pigeons you shoot, you will be given an extra life. Note that you start with 3 lives. Lives become useful in the later levels when the pigeons are extremely quick. The game ends when you have no lives left.
It doesn't mention anywhere that no animals were hurt or killed during the production of this game. Liam...!?
Though Lworks no longer host this game, fortunately it's still around courtesy of the Audiogams Archive site, so you can still have all the fun of pulverising pigions in the park.
