Poker squares Sv is a single player card puzle game from Games for the blind which can best be described as poker meets scrabble. Cards are successively turned over from a pack, and it's up to the player to place them in one of 25 spaces of a 5 x 5 grid.
After all spaces are filled, each of the five rows, and five columns of the grid will form a full five card poker hand, ---- and will recieve a score. It's therefore up to the player to try and place his/her cards so as to form the highest scoring 10 poker hands he/she can. The computer will of course tot up all the scores and provide a full run down at the end of the game.
Poker squares Sv comes with the eloquence speech synthesisor to self voice the game, some unique sound effects, has graphics to allow players with workable vision to play as well, and even can have the F4 key explain how to score poker hands, ---- so none poker players can try this puzle game too.
As is usual with games for the blind titles, the above version is a 15 day trial, which will let you try out all functions of poker squares for that time. After 15 days however, you'll have to buy the program from games for the blind to keep using it.
